Portrait Session for Ceguera

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of shooting a portrait for Ceguera, just as they were releasing new music. We chose a vibrant, urban neighborhood known for its colorful architecture and modular buildings. The setting gave us strong lines and textures that added depth to the composition while complementing the visual identity we aimed for.
Our main idea was to focused on a warm, monochromatic palette, using shades of yellow and earthy tones to create cohesion between the background and the clothes. We wanted the styling to feel modern and street-inspired without going too extreme allowing the subjects to stand out clearly against clean, simplified backgrounds. Inspired in the aesthetics of some of the modern hardcore bands.

Hace unos meses tuve el placer de realizar una sesión de retratos para Ceguera, justo cuando estaban lanzando nueva música. Elegimos un barrio urbano y vibrante, conocido por su arquitectura colorida y edificios modulares. El entorno nos ofreció líneas marcadas y texturas que aportaron profundidad a la composición, al mismo tiempo que complementaban la identidad visual que queríamos lograr.
La idea principal fue centrarnos en una paleta cálida y monocromática, utilizando tonos amarillos y terrosos para generar cohesión entre el fondo y el vestuario. Queríamos lograr un estilo moderno, con inspiración street, pero sin llevarlo al extremo, permitiendo que los sujetos resaltaran claramente sobre fondos limpios y simplificados. La estética estuvo influenciada por el estilo visual de algunas bandas de hardcore moderno.
