INNER

WORK IN PROGRESS 2025 –

Since childhood, one of my greatest fears was the act of vomiting. I spent years doing everything in my power to avoid that sensation whenever I felt ill; to me, it represented a loss of control and a truly harrowing physical experience.

However, as I’ve grown as an artist, my perspective has shifted. I began to view the act of “throwing up” not just as a physical ailment, but as a profound metaphor for purging. In many cultures and spiritual practices, to purge is to cleanse oneself—to release what no longer serves us.

This curiosity led me to explore the things we carry deep within ourselves: our personal experiences, our ingrained beliefs, and the thoughts we accumulate throughout our lives. My photography now examines these inner landscapes, capturing the tension between the fear of letting go and the spiritual necessity of the “purge.”
